EFA mechanic, Gary Marcote, has a long history with the company. As one of our most tenured employees, Gary has been working with EFA aircraft since 1996. Born and raised in Rhode Island, he lived in Connecticut while working on his A/P at East Coast Aero Tech. While in school, Gary worked part-time in the EFA maintenance hanger, and in our line service department.
Upon receiving his A/P in 1997, Gary started working full time at EFA as a mechanic. Since that time, he has worked to refine his skills, and has had the opportunity to work on several of the EFA “project planes” which have involved total top to bottom overhauls of mechanical, powerplant, and avionics systems. He is currently the lead mechanic on the overhaul of the EFA Arrow. In recent years, Gary has earned his Private Pilot certificate through EFA, and has had the opportunity to explore several different levels of aircraft service; working in both piston and turbine shops. His return to the EFA shop has allowed us to provide our customers with one of the best, most experienced mechanics in New England. As Gary says, “I love working on airplanes, there isn’t anything I’d rather do”.
