Commercial Pilot Certificate

Part 141 Course Details
    To enroll in Part 141 training:

  • You must already hold a Private Pilot’s license and you must either hold an Instrument rating or be concurrently enrolled in an Instrument Rating course.

Course details:

  • At the end of the Commercial course you are required to have a minimum of 190 total hours logged in your log book. The Cessna Pilot Center Computer based program fulfills most of the ground based portion of the Commercial rating. You will log approximately 55 hours of dual flight training and 65 hours of solo flights during your Commercial training. Of the 55 hours of flight training, a minimum of 10 hours will be spent in the Piper Arrow for complex aircraft training to get your complex endorsement. Part 61 Course Details
    To enroll in Part 61 course training:

  • You must already hold a Private Pilot’s license.

Course details:

  • At the end of the Commercial course, you are required to have a minimum of 250 total hours logged in your book. The 250 hours must include a minimum of: 100 hours as pilot-in-command, 10 hours of instrument training, 10 hours complex aircraft training, and various cross country and night flights. You will also complete ground training with your instructor to enhance your aeronautical knowledge. The number of hours flown while enrolled in this course vary depending upon your previous flight experience. For complete details, please read Part 61.123 – 61.129 in the FAR (Federal Aviation Regulations).

Your training will be conducted primarily in our PA28R Arrow. This airplane meets the FAA requirements for complex airplanes (retractable landing gear, flaps and a controllable pitch propeller).
