If you have always wanted to learn how to fly, don’t let the cost prevent you from achieving your goal. Executive Flyers now can offer the opportunity for flight school students to apply for a student loan with SLM Financial Corporation, a Sallie Mae company. SLM Financial’s low-interest loans make flight training affordable.

You can apply for a loan for any level of your flight training from Private Pilot up to Airline Transport Pilot. It’s up to you. You can apply for a student loan of any amount that may cover one or more of your licenses. Applicants must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents.

It’s easy to qualify and they offer very competitive interest rates. If you prefer, you can make interest-only payments until your training is complete.

There are two ways to apply:

Apply by fax:

1. Download the application below and follow the instructions on the first page.
2. You will be instructed to submit the completed and signed application directly with us at Executive Flyers to finalize the application and begin the process with SLM Financial.
3. After we fax in your application to SLM Financial, we will keep all of your information completely confidential.
4. Once they have received your application, we will know within 48 hours whether or not you have been approved.

Apply on-line:

1. Log on to www.slmeducationloans.com/
2. On the right side of the screen, under “Related Quick Links”, click on the “Apply Now” for a SLM Financial Private Education Loan
3. Complete the online loan application and submit it for credit processing (approximate time for completion = 10 minutes)

School Disbursement date: Please use the first day of your training. Call us for how to split up the disbursements of payments to Executive Flyers. (For example, for most certificates we split up the payments to 1/3 of the loan each month for three months.)

4. Within 30 seconds, you will receive a web response

If your loan is approved:

1. SLM Financial will email the following to EFA, for the borrower’s signature:

q Disclosure Statement
q Promissory Note
q Pre-filled Loan Application

2. After certifying the loan documents (including the electronic application) and obtaining the borrower’s signature, EFA will send to SLM the following:

q All Loan Documents
q Borrower’s Recent Paystub (tax returns if self-employed)
q Borrower’s Signed ID

3. SLM Financial will send the funds directly to EFA on the provided disbursement dates.
