Aircraft Rental Rates

EFA's Cessna Authorized Service Hangar maintains our fleet to the highest standards of airworthiness. Our dedicated Line Crew clean and fuel aircraft for your departure. Rental rates are "wet" (full fuel) calculated from Hobbs meter. Fuel purchases from other airfields may be credited to renter.

For 2008: These published rates do not include the current fuel surcharge which can add $10-$15 ($20 for twin) per hour to the rate. This rate is adjusted with a substantial increases or decreases in the cost of fuel.

EFA Flight Instructors and Senior Flight Instructors are full time professionals who are rigorously trained to deliver over four decades of advanced aviation training experience.

Flight Training includes: Private (PVT), Instrument (INST), Commercial (COM), Multi-Engine (ME), Airline Transport Pilot (ATP), Certified Flight Instructor (CFI), Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII), Aerobatics (ACRO), Unusual Attitude (UA) and Ground Instruction.

Pilots who want to train in their own aircraft must arrange to have EFA listed as a named insured party, and have their insurance carrier issue a waiver of subrogation (this is a common practice for most insurers, who do so to encourage training).

Insurance Coverage

EFA aircraft insurance covers personal liability of our customers as follows: Limit, $100,000 combined single-limit bodily injury and property damages liability including passenger legal liability. Responsible pilots are encouraged to provide themselves with added protection by purchasing higher limits through Aviation Insurance Agency. A student or rental pilot is responsible for paying for any loss or damage due to pilot negligence. We recommend pilots purchase Aircraft Damage Liability Insurance. Be a "Protected Pilot" with Non-Owned Aircraft Personal Liability Insurance.

EFA Prepay Incentive*

You can pay as you fly... or you can earn a bonus for block payments:

- Pay $500 to $999, earn 3% bonus
- Pay $1000 or more, earn 5% bonus

Prepayment bonuses are credited to your account and may be used for any EFA instruction, aircraft rental or pilot supply purchases. Not valid for 1 time rentals.
 

* Add any charges incurred on the same day to the amount deposited in order to achieve the desired bonus credit.

Aircraft Rental

EFA aircraft are rented to qualified pilots only after a checkout with an EFA Flight Instructor.

Rental pilots are required to take an EFA Annual Recurrency Flight. To maintain rental privileges, a rental pilot must have flown with EFA within the preceding 90 days.

Instrument rated pilots who want to fly in actual IMC must take an Annual EFA IPC with an EFA CFII.


Headset Rental

EFA rents out high-quality Sennheiser passive noise cancelling headsets. Headsets are rented free to pre-solo student pilots and discovery and introductory flight customers.

Otherwise: $5.00 per day ($3/addt’l day)

EFA sells Sennheiser and David Clark headsets, please inquire.

Authorized Airports

Except in emergency or as a precautionary measure, EFA aircraft must land only on paved runways, 3000 feet and longer.

Daily Minimum Charges

Minimum aircraft rental charges for scheduled flights of 6 or more hours in a 24 hour period is 3 hours.

Required minimums do not apply to dual instruction.

Cancellation / No Show

We understand that life can be busy, but customer no shows or appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will result in the following automatic charges:

Dual Instruction: 1 hour instructor rate for each scheduled block.

Aircraft Rental: 1 hour aircraft rate for each scheduled block.
