Students of Executive Flyers Aviation (EFA) who are active duty, reservist, national guard, veteran or veteran’s dependent (spouse, child) may receive up to 60% of their flight training paid for by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The VA is the government agency responsible for determining eligibility for VA education benefits.

EFA has been approved for Instrument (INST), Commerical (COM), Certified Flight Instructor (CFI), Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII), Certified Flight Instructor, Multi (MEI), and Multi-Engine (ME).

The VA will accept applications for benefits for flight training starting on these dates:
INST: September 1, 2005
COM, CFI, CFII, MEI, ME: November 20, 2005

To apply for benefits:

1. First, fill out VA Form 22-1990. We have this form in our office or you can apply on-line. You can also download this form at: http://www.va.gov/vaforms.

2. Next, come to our office and fill out VA Form 22-1999. (We have this form in our office.) We will fill out the form together. You can then send it in to the VA. This form certifies that you are enrolled in our program of instruction. This form is currently not available on-line.
